The development of recombinant DNA technology and amplification techniques has improved the synthesis and usage of synthetic oligonucleotides. Synthetic oligonucleotides are single stranded DNA fragments assembled from single mononucleosides, following a defined and specific sequence.
They are now widely used in all research and diagnostic laboratories and constitute the basic reagents for all molecular investigations. Today, almost all synthetic oligonucleotides are prepared by solid phase phosphoramidite techniques. Primm can synthesize oligonucleotides containing up to 150 residues upon special request and different scales from 0.02 µmol to bulk. Thanks to the complete automation of oligonucleotide synthesis we can deliver our standard oligonucleotides within 48 hours from receipt of the order.
